One of the most talked about American supercars of the past several decades is the Ford GT, ever since they took the top three places at Le Mans each year they were released. The car was the brainchild of Carroll Shelby as well as several legendary sports cars, one of the first ones he had built is the incredibly collectable and purpose built shelby cobra. The legacy he has built has proven to be the biggest competition for foreign performance to attempt to rival including Ferrari and Lamborghini as well as any company in the performance car industry.
The new ford GT is surpassing all the previous generations with more power lighter weight and an incredible low air resistance design using the air resistance to their advantage to gain traction and control over the competition even at outrageous speeds.
In order for the vehicle to be raced at Le Mans there needs to be a production car thats street legal, witch means ford needs to produce a certain number of cars that has not yet been released and at a hefty price tag rumored to be in the 400k range but nothing has been confirmed to date.
The vehicle is powered by a 800+ hp 6-cylander thats been tested with out restrictor plates to surpass 1000hp.
I've always loved the Ford GT and was super excited when I heard a new one was being released. Maybe when I get a real job after school I will be able to get one for myself. Well that's the dream anyway...
ReplyDelete....I have a job and still can't afford a GT...@#$!$
ReplyDeleteEven though I'm more of a Chevy and Mopar girl, I really like the Ford GT. I watch the Mercum auctions frequently and see them on there once in a while. I have an appreciation for cars both old and new and enjoy going to car shows. I look forward to reading your future blog posts.
ReplyDeleteFord GT's are sweet. I just recently had my car break down and going to new to buy a new one. Looking at a Chevy Malibu, know anything about them?
ReplyDeleteSweet looking rides Man. don't see myself ever owning one of those because I don't see myself ever having that kind of money to blow. But boy would it be nice. Pretty sure I'd total that thing within a month of driving it, but that would probably be the best month of my life.
